Day 1: Pinnawela - Kandy
On your arrival at the airport you will be welcomed by one of our local executives, who will help you with the formalities at the airport. You will be driven straightaway to the elephant town of Pinnawela where you will visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage which forms a haven for the orphan elephants. The place also serves as a breeding ground for these elephants. The orphanage is a mecca for scientists, nature photographers, documentary film makers and so on. The view of a large number of gigantic mammals dwelling in their natural habitat is mesmerizing. After this thrilling place, you will be driven to Kandy where you will stay overnight.
Day 2: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, you will be transported to Nuwara Eliya which literally means the "city of light". The place has an innate idyllic charm, which it has derived from its revitalizing mountain climate and stimulating scenic beauty. Its tea estates add on oodles to the already invigorating ambiance of this beautiful hill station. Sri Lanka's highest mountain Pidurutalagala too is a part of this hill station. The place also harbors the finest golf course in South-East Asia. You will be staying overnight at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 3: Nuwara Eliya - Hakgala - Nuwara Eliya
After having a splendid breakfast at the hotel you will go for a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya, visiting a number of idyllic places. Later during the day you will be driven to Hakgala famous for its pastoral gardens. According to the epic "Ramayana", the Hakgala Botanical Gardens were a part of the idyllic abode of King Ravana. The gardens were renovated during the British sovereignty and a number of strikingly exotic varieties of flowers were added to the garden including an admirable collection of orchids. You will be driven back to Nuwara Eliya where you will be staying overnight.
Day 4: Nuwara Eliya - Kitulgala - Bentota
After having an elaborate breakfast at the hotel, you will be transported to the blissful valley of Kitulgala. The Kelani River flows through the serene village of Kitugala and the view of the same is unfathomably beautiful. Due to the idyllic charm of this river, a number of Hollywood movies have been shot at this place including Oscar winning "Bridge on the River Kwai". The town is also important because of its archaeological importance as a prehistoric cave was discovered recently containing large collection of shells from some unknown civilization. After exploring Kitulgala, you will move towards Bentota enroute Waddwua and Beruwela. Your overnight stay will be at a hotel in Bentota.
Day 5: Bentota
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel you can spend the day on your own as there is nothing much scheduled. You can take a stroll outside the hotel and explore the neighborhood on your own, or you can visit the nearby markets and shop for souvenirs. Else, you can leisure around at the hotel and enjoy the indoor recreational activities offered by the hotel. You can also try basking under the Sri Lankan sun in the lawns of the hotel. You will be staying at the hotel overnight.
Day6: Bentota - Colombo
After an elaborate breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to the largest city of Sri Lanka, Colombo. The face of Colombo is gradually changing as it is the financial hub of a developing country. Though there are numerous sky scrapers emerging every day, the city hasn't lost its deep-seated cultural roots. As such, along with its emerging skyline, it has also managed to keep intact the old British colonial buildings, the Buddhist and Hindu temples and a number of other heritage sites. You will be set loose in the conventional bazaars of Colombo, where you can shop at ODEL Shopping Mall, House of Fashion and Noritake Ceramic Showroom for souvenirs. You will be staying at a hotel at Colombo.
Day 7: Colombo
After a lip smacking traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, you will be driven to the International Airport according to your convenience, from where you can catch a flight to your respective destinations.
